Hi, I'm Lauren.
I've been on the mat for 18 years.
CCA-certified coach. Former Level 6 athlete. Cheer mom of two (Level 2 + Level 4). I started CheerInsider because every time a new mom DM'd me asking what something really costs, I realized the answer wasn't anywhere online — except in our gym moms' group chat at 11pm.
Now it's here. No federation talking points. No gym marketing. No "spirit-shop" fluff. Just what I'd tell my own sister.
How we got here.
First all-star tryout
Made a Level 1 youth team at age 9. Cost: $1,800 for the season. (Yes, even then.)
Level 6 athlete
Worlds bid, Senior Open 5. Started coaching tumbling on the side at 15.
CCA certification
First coaching gig with a Tiny Novice team. Realized how little public info exists.
First Worlds as a coach
Senior Small Coed 5, top 10. Started writing my private gym-mom email guide that would later become this site.
CheerInsider launches
After ten thousand DM'd cost questions. Three articles to start. Today: 127.
You're here
41K cheer moms on the list. Two daughters on Level 2 and Level 4 teams. Still on the mat.
Five rules we never break.
- 01
Sponsored content is labeled in the headline.
If a brand paid us, the headline says so. We haven't taken sponsored money yet.
- 02
No affiliate link can change a verdict.
We only recommend products we'd buy ourselves.
- 03
Anonymized sources, on request.
Some moms and coaches can't go on the record without gym fallout. We protect them.
- 04
Federation-adjacent claims get sourced.
If we can't cite it, we don't print it.
- 05
Corrections live forever.
When we get something wrong, we update with a dated note. We don't silently edit.
Got a tip, a question, or a story?
Anonymized stories are how this site stays useful. If something happened at your gym that other moms should hear about, email me. I never share names without permission.
